I am probably the youngest scout on the team but that doesn’t lower my passion for the game. I study hockey non-stop and it is truly a game I have fallen in love with. I hope to one day become an NHL scout, but currently scouting with DUBnetwork is an amazing opportunity. My dad has been around the hockey community as much as anyone, my sister played hockey, I played hockey and I watched a lot of hockey. I was raised in the rink and I don’t plan on leaving any time soon.

Jason Dutchak – Saskatchewan

I am a father of 6 and married to my best friend Andrea. I played hockey as a young kid at 5 years old right up until I was 17. My hockey career consisted of playing Tier 1 hockey right up from Atom to Bantam, to 2 years of Midget AAA in Swift Current and Moose Jaw. I was also fortunate enough to represent my province while playing SaskFirst hockey for Zone 3 while in Bantam. I was successful in making my way into junior hockey at the age of 16 but chose to complete my Midget career in my home town of Moose Jaw with plans to join junior hockey the season after. Injuries delayed this plan and I was forced to retire from hockey after my second year in Midget AAA.

I began coaching hockey when I was 18 and found it to be something I really enjoyed. It helped fulfill the need I was missing from playing the game I love. I kept at it and have been fortunate enough to coach all of my kids in their young careers and have also done several years of player evaluations for minor hockey in Regina and Moose Jaw. I have coached hockey for over 15 years in various communities in Saskatchewan and now I am looking forward to working as a scout for Dub Network Scouting.

My hope is that I can help young hockey players reach their goals of making it into junior hockey and then onto bigger and better things. I feel I can give precise, honest, reliable scouting reports of future up and coming stars and junior hopefuls.
